This was the second sloop of this size and name built at the Jespersen yard for her original owner.
The first was tragically lost on a reef off the west coast of Vancouver Island. This Pachena was cold molded of five layers of ¼” Sitka spruce laid diagonally and a ⅜” fore and aft layer of Honduras mahogany.
Her interior features red oak panels and joinery. Over a ¾”plywood subdeck was laid ½” teak. Cabin sides are varnished mahogany over ½" plywood. The windows are trimmed with beaded stops similar to the paneled interior.
